Connecting the Computer Magnet's talents with needs and requests from the Real World

What is an RFP?

RFP stands for Request For Proposal. An RFP is a tool used by Magnet instructors and potential real world customers to request the assistance of Computer Magnet students in creating solutions to various needs. These types of needs come in three categories:

Social Enterprise: Here RFPs request the leadership and technology assistance of Magnet students in addressing community, school or social needs.

Business Enterprise: Here RFPs are generated by the business sector and a request for Magnet students to aid in the development and expansion of local and world-wide business endeavors.

Personal Entrepreneurial: Here RFP's can be generated by Magnet students themselves to contract with other Magnet students or local businesses to seek aid for their own entrepreneurial endeavors.

An RPF has this basic structure:

1. Proposal and Project deadlines
2. Product Description - where the nature of the need is described as well as the type of product that is envisioned.
3. Specific Product Requirements - a list of any technical or aesthetic requirements for the finished product.

We encourage you to submit an RFP. You can do so now by clicking below.
